Self-paced learning and a final exam on information fluency was completed as part of one of our course objectives.
The certificate can also be found on the 21st Century Information Fluency, information researcher site (login required).
For my online class, I believe I would use self-paced learning for factual type learning of material. I would hope to create or find a website that allows students to learn information related to the course in an engaging way.
